Meet Alex, Our Web Developer

We welcome Alex as the latest member to join our awesome dev team.

Hi!

I’m Alex, I’ve joined Pixel Fridge as a Web Developer and I‘ll be based in the Devon office.

A bit about me…

I’m a born and bred Gibraltarian. After meeting my other half and being shipped over to the UK to study Computing at Plymouth University I now call the UK home. I mean, technically Gibraltar could be considered part of the South West UK, right?

I’m currently living in Torquay and although I’ve always been close to the beach throughout my time in the UK, I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I’ve been brave enough to get into the seemingly freezing sea. The Devon office has some keen paddleboarders so that’ll likely change soon!

I have over 8 years of agency experience, in a variety of development roles, starting out as a junior developer straight out of Uni. With different agencies having different focuses, I’ve been able to pick up new knowledge in business, design, SEO, marketing and even small amounts of 3D development whilst keeping my coding skills up to date.

Outside of work, I am still somewhat of a nerd. I’m into computers and playing computer games, sci-fi, anime and I’m always looking for new things to learn about. I’m self taught in playing Guitar, Drums and I’m currently learning how to play the piano and music theory.

To get away from coding, learning and to reduce my screen time (and to try to keep the weight off!) I like to go for long-ish walks, weather permitting. I can’t wait until the next company ramble, I’m super excited to see the entire team together.

What will you be doing at Pixel Fridge?

I’ll be helping the team build beautiful, functional websites and digital products. It’s been great to find a team that focuses on providing the best experience for clients and client’s customers.

The team is extremely knowledgeable, so I’ll be doing my usual nerdy self and soaking up all of the ways that Pixel Fridge goes the extra-mile to provide top solutions. The learning never stops… and rightly so!
