I’ve recently joined Pixel Fridge as a Senior Project Manager. I’ve been lucky enough to work with most of the team before so it’s been a bit of a reunion and a lovely start to a new job where we’re all a little older, wiser and (some of us) greyer.
At the moment I’m based in the Peckham office (my house) but I’m told a new, shiny, dog-friendly London office is coming soon! The Pixel Fridge team are already bored of hearing about the new addition to my life; Reggie. Like many other people I got a new dog during lockdown, so I’m currently experiencing the joy (and sleepless nights) of owning a puppy. Reggie is excited to be an honorary member of the team and can’t wait to wreak havoc in the new office with the other office-dog-to-be; Agatha.
I’ve worked in creative delivery for over twelve years now, both agency-side and client-side. During that time I’ve project managed many different things, from digital, branding, and educational content to video, advertising and social media.
For the last few years I’ve enjoyed freelancing which gave me lots of flexibility and the time to co-found a premium, sustainable fashion brand on the side. But after years of working independently I found I missed the collaboration that you get when working at an agency, so I’m really happy to join up with this team. They’re brilliant at what they do and I know I’ll learn a lot from them.
Outside work I’m renovating my house so at weekends I can often be found gazing intently at colour charts, sanding (awful) and painting (brilliant). It’s slow progress but I’m getting there! I also love music and play the piano and oboe (very geeky) so I’ve really missed rehearsals and gigging whilst the pandemic’s been going on. I’m looking forward to getting back to that really soon.

I’ll be joining the delivery team and looking after project / account management. I’ll be working closely with clients to make sure that what we’re developing will be the best solution and answers their user needs. I’ll also make sure the projects are delivered on time and to budget whilst hopefully making the journey as enjoyable as possible.
Pixel Fridge have got a brilliantly broad range of clients they work with, one of whom is my favourite restaurant in London (pretty happy about that one) so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in.
Joining as lockdown lifts means that we’ll be able to enjoy some face-time soon. I believe a pub garden has already been booked for lunch as part of the company’s famous biannual company ramble. And I cannot wait 🙂

When it comes to research, budgets often fall shorter than aspirations. But real data can still be used to guide the design process, even when traditional methods are off the table.
